Black lab with his ducky waiting for his bath

I stumbled across this one and since I also have a black lab (Lucy), I just had to take a moment to review and comment. I usually have to step into the tub first to make things easier. She will follow me in. As foe the shower cap...LOL...too cute. But I think Lucy would have hers off in nothing flat. There's nothing better in the world than a black lab.

Thanks so much! While this one wasn't one of mine, I have had three labs myself (two black and one chocolate), and they are a blast. But watch out for those tails, they hurt like the dickens if they wack you, lol!

I assume the dog in your profile pic is your's? A Walker Coonhound? I had one and he was so loving, a bit mischievous, loved to play with my black lab, and barked non-stop in the car. He may have been used for coon hunting. He was 9 months when I got him. I almost adopted another recently. Tall beagles I've always said. I've had 2 beagles too. I have a Tshirt with a beagle on it. It says "what part of aroo did you not understand"

Good guess, I love Walker's (they do look like tall Beagle's, lol!), however Rumi is a Tri Colored English Coonhound. That is an old photo and was taken about ten years ago on the day I brought him home from the pound. I already had seven dogs, including three other hounds, so I was only supposed to foster him, but ended up adopting him instead. I adore hounds, and it's such a shame that they are so mistreated. Oh, I've seen those shirts with the "aroo" on them! Perfect for either hounds or beagles, lol.

Who is going to resist a lab with a shower cap on accompanied by his rubber ducky. I Laughed so hard when I saw this. I know you have this contest in the bag. I actually thought this was a photo. You are really that excellent. I'm going to go ahead and wish you the best in the contest but you don't need it.

Oh my gosh. This piece made me smile. You've captured a look of what could be disgust on the dog's face, like he's not impressed to either be wearing the shower cap, or the fact that he has to be getting a bath, or perhaps both. But the little duck looks excited to be there...LOL. I absolutely love this. Good luck in the contest

What a pose that dog has. What an outstandingly realistic drawing with graphite, my artist friend. It looks like a granny kind of with that hat. Just a spectacular and witty drawing in every area.

LOL Love the shower cap with the ducks and the serious look of the dog. He looks like he's thinking..."Are you going to turn on the water sometime today?" Very cool! I also love the extra touch of the little ducky sitting on the tub's edge. You made this a totally fun piece. Very lifelike look to the dog too! The title was genius ! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Helvi
