Thank you so much for your review and kind words, artist friend MK Flood. This is my oldest brother that passed during the Christmas season. He was such a godly man, ministering God's Word, and so very strong physically and mentally, kayaking with his girls, climbing, and could do this up until a few days before his death, walk on his hands until in his late thirties. God blessed him to do this although he had B-Cell lymphatic leukemia, and unaware of the Stage 4 Melanoma within. God enables so much good, including your talent and many all over the world.

Thanks for the artists notes,Delmoe looks like his heart is always full of love and has such a giving soul. I've grown a huge appreciation for pastels as I've noticed how so many artists are able to come up with some really great artwork. This painting is really well done, with the beige background giving this portrait a timeless appeal to it, as if this is an excellent way to portray this couple. I think it's also great how the man looks off into the distance and is wearing normal clothes, so that it portrays a very down to earth couple. The posing seems very natural. I feel like the painting tries to convey a sense of warmth and peace.

Thank you so much, artist friend Gary. My brother passed the 28th yesterday; I am so glad I was able to do this portrait within the last three years or so I could use it now.

This is wonderfully executed. Merging from two different references is a challenge you surely defeated! The detail is very eye-catching. Portraits are incredibly challenging! I also find oil pastels to be challenging for me. This type of artwork in this medium is surely difficult. This piece was created perfectly. Shading is great, hues are great. Facial features aren't off in the slightest.

A wonderful double portrait of your brother Delmoe and Anne. A fine family tribute. I like the style and soft muted pallet. Dmoe is extremely well done and very handsome as Anne is beautiful. Their eyes twinkle and reach you with a friendliness. I trust Delmoe is not suffering and the family are in my thoughts especially this time of year.

Thank you so much, special friend artist Brenda, for reviewing this work and your fine encouraging words and insight. Little did I know about three-four years back that I would need to use this for a tribute. He seems not to be suffering but it all happened so fast for him to become deathly ill. Thanks for the "6" also.

I understand totally. What a fine man and life record. This killer illness bears no compassion for its victims and its swiftness is a horror on earth for partners and friends and loved ones. Prayers and heart are for you all.

Thanks for your condolences, friend. They mean so much to me and my family. Yes, this killer illness is like a demon devouring all in its path. I've had five immediate family members attacked with it, three succumbing to its deathly grasp.
