Fine looking nails and rusty horseshoes with some rusty nails on them. The dark makes the images pop more. Best wishes. What are the nails standing up in?

Thanks for your comments! The end of the shiny nails are sharp so I just pushed them into the log. The nails sticking out of the horseshoes are stuck there from being on a horse.

Welcome. Interesting. My husband likes to play horseshoes, I believed the game is called.

Most effective use of a subject that fit the contest so well. Your lighting and macro focus adds so much DOF. THe black background reenforces the contrast and the perfect focus of the horseshoes and nails. Clever idea for a contest entry. Well done.

Now this is totally thinking outside the box and quite unique in its concept okay the horseshoes are the main focus but the nails are essential in the fixing of these items well done for thinking of this let alone take a photo of it,this is whats wanted on here more thought being put into shots...Brian

I reminded of the superstition that if you hang horseshoes on your front door, they usher in good fortunes! A unique entry for the contest. Finely composed and timed this makes interesting viewing! Good luck!

Congratulations on your 'Milestone' post, and its a corker.

Interesting subject , well captured with good placement of subject in frame.

camera settings have produces a well focused, clear image, that is well exposed.

Color palette is narrow with minimal vivid earth tones.

Good luck in the contest ... Bob

A excellent entry for this competition. The capture is very umusual in the scene construction and quite appealing. The colours are natural yet I see e hanced outlines that add to this. I like the blue highlights. Your editing and initial take have been well done. Good luck

Those 'old and used' ones are a special ingredient in a certain 'Black Magic' ritual which we're all Better Off not discussing here but I wanted to let you know hat I think this is a Terrific photographic presentation!
It's 'Well-Presented',nicely 'Out of the Ordinary',and truly Interesting and Enjoyable!
A 'Good Show' in my opinion!

This is really very nicely set up, I like the rusty horseshoes overlapping on the textured bark, contrasting with the newer, shiny nails. The black background sets this off quite well. Excellent focus, exposure and dof. Best wishes to you in this contest!
