You have indeed pictured this Eagle in flight well, and the stop action is just perfect. The background sky looks lovely as well, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.

The photo is just pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure and white balance is spot on.

The cropping is perfect, and you have given the Eagle place to fly into by the placement off to the right. It is a truly beautiful and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

A beautiful sight to see. You are fortunate to see these birds on a regular basis. I do see them but it is rare and is usually while driving with no way to get a shot. I simply love this picture!
If this was mine it would be printed, framed and hung!

Thank you so much! No ,this is the colors of the winter sky ,with only a little over 5 hours of daylight , we see a lot of pink in the sky starting about an hour before sunset, also during the winter , the sun rides very low in the sky. I appreciate your comments and review!

What can I tell you? I love the background. Nice colors that shows off our national bird. I'm going in a few weeks to photograph eagles by a river. I have all my warm clothes ready. I have a 150-600 f4 lens. The person that runs this shoot is bringing a lot of lens for various cameras. I shoot Canon.There are Nikon and Sony shooters. So he is bring lens for the camera. Should be a cool shoot. Any suggestions on shooting these wonderful birds? I don't have the skill as you have.But I'll do it.

I went to a program last week on photographing birds. Eagles were the main talk. The person leading the program also spoke of how to set your camera up. He is shooting Canon as I am. So, I went out and just practiced shooting my 150-600 lens hand held. I usually put it on a mono pod or tripod. I could not find a thing to shoot. I finally found so and began shooting. I had to stop and redefine the camera settings a few times. But I did get some shots. Not great but good enough to see what I am doing. I'm going to go out again and practice.
