This is really cool. And it really does tell the story, Only the lonely. Perfect. The details are so crisp. Amazing since it is all shades of gray. That too, tells the story. Life can be somewhat gray when you're lonely.

Good one! It could also have been Father McKenzie from Eleanor Rigby!
I love the detail in the arches of the cloisters and that beautiful stone floor. And the whole works so well in B&W.
The depth of field is a little short as the man, altar and statues are slightly blurry. But that's possibly due to low light conditions?
Best wishes for the contest.

This is a great entry for this contest, I love Roy Orbison , and I love this particular song and feel that this image fits it very well, it shows the lone man in the Cathedral cloisters , the black and white works well to emphasize the overall lonely feeling of this scene.
Well focused, this image is clear, lighting is well managed, I like that he faces away from us , and that this is not a close up,
Well composed and presented!
Best wishes to you in this contest!

An interesting perspective on this song title! I love the black and white presentation that brings out the wonderful details of this long hallway and it interesting architecture. Gorgeous depth with a nice combination of light and shadows. Best wishes for the contest!

Love that song, it surely does fit the picture. I love the depth you show here. The lighted statue in the rear works so well to tell that fine story and it recognizes the type of structure. Love it. Good luck in the contest. Ray

This image is terrific. It contains story telling influences. The use of black and white is very poignant, making all the details stand out even more.

I am very fond of Black and White photography, as this is no exception. Very emotional and surreal, yet outstanding. Good angle, contrast and detail.
