You for sure had a great view from the porch, and the sky just look fantastic. The dramatic looking clouds are especially lovely and the golden colors of the sky are so nicely reflected in the sea.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the photo. I also think the exposure is perfect.
The format works so well, and I like the way the trees are working as a nice and natural framing. A truly lovely and well taken photo Steve, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is quiet darkish but there is enough detail in it it looks like a good place to be and take photos as well,do like that forboding sky in this one,thanks for sharing...Brian

Wow, I wish I was sitting on that porch gazing at that view - but instead I'm gazing out at snow! You certainly know how to cause envy! Lol
This is a lovely entry for the competition, the detail is good, the sky is amazing, and I love that the foreground is slightly lit by the low lighting - so often with sunsets the foreground is merely silhouette.

This is a good outdoor evening shot. The light is good. The colours are natural. Overall it has been composed well with interesting foreground and background all adding to the interest of the main subject .Good luck!
