This is a wonderful shot of the buck!. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good luck!

Certainly a good one for the contest, and although the foliage is a similiar color to the buck it stands out enough and this would make for a good painting for someone on here...Brian

Thank you! He and another buck were having problems keeping track of their does which would disappear in the goldenrod when in heat;they blended in very well, making it hard for the bucks to spot them, especially when they were lying down.

This buck is so handsome and your capture of his features, especially of the face and those horns, is excellent. The whites help make the features so well and the surroundings blend perfectly with him. Best wishes.

This is a very beautiful picture of a buck. The lighting and focus are very good and the colours do give a great atmosphere to this picture. The buck's head is in the middle of the picture, which I would try to avoid if possible but with wildlife you do not always have the choice.
Good luck with it

You did a wonderful job capturing this guy. The angle of his rack really shows it off well. Very clear and crisp eye with great catch light. Framed very well. Great image!

I knew I shouldn't have used up my last 6 - it should have been yours! This photo is extraordinary!
I love how the paler colours of the stag are mirrored in the white foliage around him and how alert he looks - I can almost see his nose twitching!
Your exposure is just perfect, with the muted colours lending a lovely tranquility the the whole scene, while the detail, particularly in the stag, is really astounding, so crisp, without being hard.
Simply a stunning photo.

He says " that doe told me to meet her here! Why is she always late? Geez!" Lol.. nice capture. The clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this buck in the brush is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.
