I really like the effect you got in the water. Nice composition and exposure. I also enjoyed the notes. Looks like a great spot for a cool drink.

It certainly is as we have had a few lunches at this spot. Like most falls this one is in a gorge so direct sunlight is fleeting and brief so there is a bout a 10 degree temperature difference.

Thank you for the review and rating ... Bob

A, you understand your camera settings and B, you know how to take a great shot of waterfalls. The flowing water has kept its movement and effect. The soft light shows the details of the cliffs in a soft painterly feel. This would be fabulous mounted on aluminum and hung in a lodge.

I find waterfalls to be a challenge and a great way to cool off on a hot day. I am happy you found this take to be enjoyable to view. I do have a framed shot of these falls at full flood. In that shot there is a second set of falls to the right ... Bob

Beautiful. Even for a dry season which stunts natural greenery. I don't know how anyone cannot love a nice waterfall. And being there, I find , is loud and I feel the mist on my face. I like this natural warm tone for this waterfall shot. Thanks for the great notes.

Hi Bob, I like it when falls look feathery like this. It gives the falls a delicate look. Love where you chose to shoot from. The focus and lighting of this shot show off the falls beautifully. You don't have to apologize for anything! The shot is wonderful!
Wish I had a six to bless this with! :o) Nancy

Wonderful initial impact : I love that you captured this to show the top of the falls where that rock divides the stream sending the falls down in three different spots,in such a soft and dreamy way to the collection pool and over the rocks on the left foreground.
Well photographed with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and we get a good sense of the falls and this beautiful location.
Nice slow exposures gives the water that silky, storybook look.
Well composed and presented! This is truly a pleasure to see!

Hi Pat, I kind of cheated a little bit by using a filter, at least that's what I would have told any of my students. But I am very happy with the results.

Thank you so much for the grand six and a very concise and detailed review ... Bob

Beautiful work behind your lens Bob! The water flow, white balance control, perfect shutter speed, correct Kelvin scale settings and the use of a tripod and shutter release cable .. this shows skill and knowledge.
This is the difference between a point and shoot vs a well thought out photo.
Fantastic work Bob!!
Bravo

Great use of shutter speed to get this lovely silken waterfalls cascading down the rocks. Sometimes less is better, in this case less water. This is beautifully composed and presented and would definitely look wonderful framed and hanging on the wall!

When there isn't a torrent of water and I can see the rocks behind the flow I try hard to capture the sense of water movement but not blot out the rocks. It doesn't always work out this well.

Thank you so very much for your kind words and great rating. I am glad you liked the post ... Bob

Yes Bob I love this scene. Who doesn't like a waterfall? Your efforts are apparent in getting a great shot. Great textures. I find a romance in waterfalls and I believe you have captured this beautifully. I hope you get to take the adventure to find where the water is coming from.
