The photo of the cute otter out of the water is a charming and delightful image. The otter appears to be playful and inquisitive, adding to the overall cuteness of the photo. The photographer has captured the otter's distinctive features, such as its fluffy fur and expressive eyes, in great detail. The lighting used in the photo is also well done, highlighting the otter's soft fur and making it appear fluffy and cuddly. The composition of the photo is also pleasing, with the otter being the main focus and the surroundings providing context for the scene. Overall, it is a great photo that captures the playful and cute nature of the otter.

Very nice capture of this sweet Otter. I can watch them for hours on end when we find them at the wetlands or canals here in Florida.
Your focus is sharp, details crisp and white balance is controlled on all colors.
Great work behind your lens ;)

    Thank you so much Sange.
Wow I do envy your opportunities, they?re pretty rare where I live and this one is the only one I?ve ever seen, and once he spotted me he was off! Lol

You must have been very quiet in order to get this shot - well done. The composition is good and the water lilies are well in focus. Perhaps the otter is ever so slightly out of focus but you managed to capture it on film so that in itself is amazing.
Good luck with it

Quiet, hidden and up wind and he still spotted me and scarpered pdq! Lol

I?m wondering if it?s that we have to reduce the size of the images for FAR so much that they become pixelated, giving the impression of not being in focus? Focus is something I always check carefully before posting (particularly since you joined LOL) and although his backend is slightly out because of dof, the face was definitely sharp in the larger version. So I think it has to be due to the size reduction - ha ha that?s my excuse anyway Lol.

Thank you so much for your review and your kind words.

That all sounds reasonable to me.

a good entry to the "O Photo Contest" with this funny close up on an otter out of the water and posing for your camera, certainly waiting for some food in exchange;

next time, he will turn his back when you want to take his portrait......

I'm not even sure he knew I was there, I kept upwind and hidden as I didn't want him to scarper before I got my shot. It was the first time I'd seen a wild otter and I had no intension of missing the shot. But I'll definitely take him some food next time! Lol

A nice selection for the letter "O" with the otter. The otter is well captured; the water is rather beautiful as are the large leaves and reflections in the water, on the left. Best wishes.

I've never seen an otter in the wild.Love the shot you got of this otter on a downed tree or a root. I love your POV and the way the otter is looking to the right. The image is nice and sharp with excellent lighting. You can easily see the otter's whiskers. A very col and enjoyable shot. Thanks for sharing! :o) Helvi

Lovely capture of the Otter as it has just emerged from the water.
The colors are very natural and the focus on the Otter sharp.
Like the rippling water in background.. well composed and presented.

First impression - the detail of the Otter can't get better than what you have shown here.

The color gamut is broad and natural in appearance.

Some might argue that the frame could be tighter on the Otter. But I wouldn't, I like to see some of the creatures environment included in the scene. I think it lends a more realistic impression for the viewer.

This is well conceived and executed shot of a natural environment ... Bob

Wow thank you SO much for your great review and for the six stars!
I did try various crops and came to the same conclusion as you, that it was better showing him in his setting.
