This is a wonderful shot of the playful boy! You have timed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Good luck!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that boy leaping around.
Textures, colours and tones are good. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

The background is nice with the skies matching the occasion somewhat. The blue strip is really nice. The action is fine and best wishes. The dirt/sand is okay, as is the pier.

A great action shot of this young lad mimicking some sort of Hong Kong phooey kick... was this the first attempt or were there several kicks to capture this particular angle

Amazingly it was the first attempt, but I was ready for it as I?d asked him to do it. Thank you so much for your review.

Photos of children doing things is good and although i can tell this was done on purpose i still feel that its really good,i like the action in this and although the area/beach could have been blurred and out of focus this does give a sense of space in which hes jumped out of,well taken photo...Brian

Thanks Brian and yes you?re right I?d asked him to jump, but I was pretty pleased to have captured it on the first attempt.

This is a great action shot that is really full of movement. It appears to be slightly out of focus but I am sure that has a lot to do with the action. I think that I would have taken it in portrait mode rather than landscape but I am sure that it was a spur of the moment picture so you did not have much time to make that sort of decision.
Good luck with it

Thank you for your review, but what is it with you that every photo I post you say is out of focus? It?s becoming a little galling! The only part of this one is his front foot, which I am aware of and felt was acceptable due to the action within it.

Perfect timing to stop this action! I love that you caught him up off the ground!
Well focused, this image is clear exposure for the subject is well achieved, colors and tones appear true and natural.
Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

... we all jump and freeze ! :)
The photo of the boy jumping high on the sandy beach is dynamic and full of energy. The boy's high jump captures a moment of pure joy and freedom, making the viewer feel as though they are right there with him. The cloudy sky adds a moody and atmospheric element to the image, making it feel like a moment frozen in time.

The use of light and shadow creates depth and dimension, highlighting the curves and lines of the boy's body as he jumps. The focus is sharp, ensuring that the boy is the center of attention and that every detail of the image is visible. This photo showcases the photographer's technical skills and their ability to capture a fleeting moment of beauty and excitement. Great job!
