Pigeons are such a nuisance they get into my daughters chicken coop and annoy the chickens no end.
Having said that they are still a very attractive bird and you have captured this one well with very natural colors. The background complements the bird nicely and the focus is sharp.

Pat this is a great image of the nervous pigeon. I actually had a flock of pigeons at work the other day. It was sunny and the glare of the snow and light from the sun shined just perfectly to show the pigeons lovely multi colors. Almost like a subdued rainbow.
You have captured this guy so well with his lovely colored feathers. The expression on his face is priceless. Well done.

This is a brilliant close up of this pigeon. It is completely in focus and I do love it. It does look a bit dark in places though for me although so can still see the individual feathers so well done.

Stunning color and tight crop. Focusing on his eye gives us a wonderful DOF. The clarity of his eye is the focal point of the scene. We used to be the passenger pigeon capital of the U.S. in first part of the 1099's. Look up Shelby Michigan passenger pigeons and the slaughter that took place to supply the fancy restaurants of Chicago. The species were wiped out.

Beautiful image. The angle of the shot indeed suggests the pigeon is checking this out. People don't realize how smart these birds really are. Clear and well-focused. The purple in his croup is a nice addition.
