A good choice for this competition and he is very obviously enjoying his bit of sunshine!
Your focus is good and the autumn leaves behind are nicely blurred, helping him to stand out well in the shot. The colours are lovely and yes, it is a little overexposed in places, but I think having captured that wonderful expression of sheer joy on his face, we can forgive that! Lol
Best wishes for the contest.

The photo of the Peacock Sunning Himself captures the beauty of the bird in a peaceful moment. The artist's choice to crop the image and correct the exposure has helped bring attention to the subject. The sun shining through the tree adds a nice touch to the photo and highlights the bird's colorful feathers. Overall, it's a well-taken and visually appealing picture.
Maybe adjusting only the highlights and whites could have helped enhance/ recover those overexposed spots.

Thanks so much for the review. I worked on it a little but it came out not looking natural. I plan to work on it a little more when I get some free time. (have my book deadline coming up and need to finish editing it.)

This is a wonderful shot of the peacock. What a good looking colourful bird! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good luck!

Well good clarity in this peacock and quite a striking color,i think though that this would have been better had you took a vertical photo to get all of him in,good dof though...Brian

Thanks so much for the nice review!

It is bright and a desaturation tool or spot exposure might have helped. In any case I like the noble tilt of head you have captured and the finely detailed feathers. The soft background is pretty. Best wishes for the contest!

Thanks for the review. Yup, tried correcting the over exposure but to simply didn't look natural to me.

The tight shot of this peacock is bright, colorful and very detailed. The sunlight sort of spotlighted the profile very well. I wish the shadows were managed a bit better with a post-production lightener. Very all a very nice shot.

Thanks for the review. Tried working it in Photoshop but it didn't look natural to me so left it as is. Thanks again!

Excellent eye and timing - right place with the right tools.
The bird is well framed in center presentation.
The head details are very sharp and well seen on the shade side. The head crop is sharp and colorful. There is very good detail of the breast feathers and those along the shade side of the bird.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the sunny side of the bird. The light is focused and very bright, subsequently
the feather detail and colors are blown out.
There is a solution in the form of a polarizing lens. For a DSLR find one the same diameter as your favorite lens. For a cell phone camera without a polarizing filter, get a pair of polarized sunglasses with as flat a lens as you can fine. Hold it in front of the camera lens, take the shot. Now you have correct feather detail and color in the sun.
These birds have always fascinated me. Overall this is an enjoyable to look at shot, very good ... Bob

Thanks Bob for the review. I've tried to fix the brightness on the right before posting but it doesn't look natural after my attempts. I'll keep working on it but alas I think it is going to be what it is. Thank you.

A great pose for this handsome fellow. Excellent placement in the frame. The background is nice as it does not detract from the bird.
One suggestion: The right side of the bird is over exposed somewhat. The back is blown out (too bright) thus losing some detail in the feathers. The bright spot catches the eye and pulls it away from this beautiful bird. I hope this makes sense. After photo software can correct much of this.
Nice entry for the contest and I wish you all the best.
