Not easy getting one bird at the feeder.. but 3?!!
Nicely done Bob ;)
I am not sure if it's Far upload, but for me focus could have been sharper. 1/500 is too slow a shutter speed for bird photography. But using a zoom lens with a high F/stop forces you to lower shutter to get light.
I started using my old school 35 lens which is my night lens. But f/stop is as low as f/1.8
The lens if my dreams is 13 thousand dollars with a fixed f/stop that is low enough to keep shutter high and get the light needed.
Anyway... I think you did a fine job getting all 3 birds in focus and your DOF is dreamy.
My only tiny critique is for the birds to be sharper.
;)

Totally agree Sange. I was going for the Grosbeak. Its eye was the center of the frame. I saw this eyes right alignment and couldn't resist posting it. Thanks for an honest and appreciative review, knew I could count on you ... Bob

Hi Bob, Ingenious way of getting the shot you wanted with some extra friends! LOL Love how you managed to get three birds in this one shot! You got both the male and female Purple Pinch in the same shot! Love the Red Breasted Grossbeak! The focus and lighting show them all of well! Bet you couldn't get a shot like this again if you tried! Very Nicely Done! :o) Nancy

Nice collection of visitors to your feeder. All sharp and bright eyed. I have a huge abundance of both the gold and purple finches. What are you feeding? Looks like rice crispies. lol Very nice capture and really like the nice muted background.

The nature photography is beautifully captured, showing the profiles of three grosbeaks while they feed on seeds. The birds are in sharp focus, with their distinct features and colors clearly visible. The contrasting background enhances the overall aesthetic of the image, making it a visually appealing and memorable shot. Great job capturing this moment !

Yeah it is a tad soft especially the bird in the upper right. 1/500th is way to slow. In this low light I was focused on the RB Grosbeak and hoped to get lucky. Didn't see the three in profile until post processing. Thanks for a fine review and generous rating ... Bob

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of those hungry birds and their location. Textures, colours and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!
