Well this is fun and different. It almost appears as if both piggies were done by two different artists. That says a lot with your different techniques used for both. Fun and whimsical. While impressed by the two buddies I think I would have preferred a different colored background but that is just my thoughts. Nicely done.

Thank you so much again, artist Monica. I used that background as I cut my painted images out and slightly pasted them on. Yes, with the older and larger pig, I tried to be more realistic; the other, I just did a fun drawing. Perhaps I should have made the background darker or painted a sky, landscape, etc. But thanks again. I value your input.

What a lovely idea to do this and very creative with the glue. Its unusual and I like it .... the little piggy on the right has funny shoulders but its still cute. They look like they are having a conversation.

Thank you, artist friend, Brenda, for your review and kind comments. I intentionally created the larger one more realistically but the younger one more cartoon like and aimlessly. I pasted them both on a base with a little glue.

The pig on the right isn't quite as well done. Wish you had done him the same way as the one on the left. Sorry I had to mark you down a little. :o) Nancy

I knew the pig on the left wasn't as good as I was making the little fellow more cartoon like, actually imagined it while I had a little reference for the large pig. I think I mentioned the intention to make the little fellow cuter than life-like in my commentary, and noticed that others here with the five reviews did NOT mark their reviews down. Thanks for reviewing, artist friend. I may try to work on the cutie some more.

Glena, I have always been a fan of your artistry. I hope you know that. You didn't say anything in your notes about the pink pig being more cartoonist. I loved the pig in the left. I just thought the pig on the right needed a little more work because I know what a good artist you are! It was hard for me to mark you down a half point but I thought you could do better.

Very cute. The facials is great. The body form and language is excellent. The depth is great. The details is great. The shading is great. The blend of the colors is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative and awesome work overall.

When I was a little girl, I spent a summer on a farm in Ct. the pigs were my favorite animals on the farm.
You have created these pigs so very well with accurate shape and structure , their proportions are also well shown.
I like the way you have placed the mama pig off on the left and the baby in front of her . I like the way baby is posed with the box.
Colors are well chosen and applied.
This is super cute and I think it would be adorable hung on a farmhouse kitchen wall.
Well arranged against the earth toned background, well presented!

In my opinion an art is an art is an art. Never mind the process you follow or the stuff you use. Ultimately the end result should speak to the viewer. This one speaks to me. Nice looking painting. It reminded me of my childhood days when I was the proud owner of a piggy box. Thanks for sharing!
