Go Go Detroit Go Go tigers. Very nice entry with this bigger that life tiger. The enthusiasm in professional sports is amazing and this piece of sculpture hammers it home. Very nice and enjoyable. the best of luck in the contest. Ray

Thanks Ray, yes I have to admit that I?m not particularly into professional sports, but on my only visit to Detroit I was rather taken with these giant tigers - and their photographic potential of course!

Yes, this is from and to unexpected angles, especially if looking up at that large tiger's mouth. Its red top is nice. The sky is lovely. The other images are fine. Best wishes.

This journalism photography of a large tiger statue outside Commercial Park in Detroit is a dynamic and impactful image. The statue dominates the frame, creating a strong focal point and immediately capturing the viewer's attention. The red t-shirt and the roaring expression of the statue add to the overall power and impact of the image. The fact that the photographer has taken the photo looking up at the statue creates a sense of awe and admiration maybe... ?, emphasizing the size and grandeur of the statue. The minor curves and levels in the image add to the overall composition and help create a more interesting and dynamic image. This photo does a great job of capturing the energy and spirit of the city and its love for its Major League Baseball team, the Detroit Tigers. Good one, Charlotte ! Thank you for bringing me in a difficult situation in this contest :))
Now I have to go through all my photo archive to see what I have for this specific contest.

Ha ha ha don't look too hard please, you've left us all standing in the insect contest as it is, we really don't need competition like yours in this one!!! LOL
Thanks so much Elli for your great review!

Yeah, I think he was off colour and angry because of what he?d eaten the night before, which evidently hadn?t agreed with him :-)
Thanks for your amusing review Fred.

Neat image! Certainly fits into the contest of unexpected angles. You very well could be the prey looking up at the hunter. Very well-focused and creative. Thanks for sharing!

Full on photo is this and a good strong angle in which to take these statues,i like that although you could have taken a straight forward shot you chose this angle a good choice for this as it makes for a more interesting photo...Brian

Interesting shot. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and composition have worked out well. But I don't understand what's unexpected about it Good luck!

Thanks Sesha. Maybe I misinterpreted the theme of the contest, but I felt most people would have stood well back and taken a photo of the whole frontage of the stadium, while instead I got right below the the tiger and took the shot looking upwards.

Very cool. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this cool cat is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.
