a good close up of these always hungry seagulls; I would however leave more space in front, on the right side, in the direction where the birds are flying ,not the opposite;

Brenda,
A beautiful stop action picture of the adult Black-headed gulls in their non breeding plumage landing on the food you intended for the ducks. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Thank you Sudan, I really appreciated your words and knowledge identifying those seagulls. You know your birds so well

What a lovely accidental scene with those seagulls swooping in and you getting such a fine photograph. The water is nice and so appropriate for the scene also.

You are most welcome, my friend. This is a fine quick one, turned out just as well as if it had taken longer.

When I first saw this photo I thought of an old Alfred Hitchcock movie the birds when all the seagulls were attacking people. I like how all the sea gulls are flying in different directions, well done.

Thank you yes it reminds me too of that movie, now you mention it, they were very ferocious diving for the crumbs, the ducks didnt have a chance.

Ha ha it always seems to happen when feeding ducks, no wonder that seagulls are so prolific, they know how to survive! And what a great idea for this contest, because that is nature!
I like that you've taken this from above and that there's no sky showing, it makes a nice change.
Your image is sharp, bar one or two birds who were moving too fast, but I don't think that matters too much! Your dof is good, keeping the focus sharp all over, and the colours look natural.
I particularly like the clump of dry grass and rocks in the foreground, they add extra interest to the scene.
Very best wishes for the contest.

A good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and full composition gives us a good look at that busy coastline. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

I was looking for the ducks before reading the story, ha. I like the gulls in flight you captured a lot of action, good use of thirds, nice color and clarity, well done
