I think we are all patiently waiting for spring. Can't wait to get out and start planting. Simple but meaningful image. The lighting brings the focal point to the bucket, the main subject. It is focused and nicely presented. Thanks for sharing.

I think this is a very creative entry into this contest, and especially like the simplicity and all the fine textures seen in the background. The shiny pale is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is very sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the pale. The exposure is spot on.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and with the pale off to the right, it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

You know, when these letter contest come around I try to take at least 5 different pictures, each different items (popcorn, peacock feathers, pencils?)and then decide which would be best. This simple shot spoke to me so it is what I entered! Thanks for your comments, much appreciated!

This is a great out of the box photo of a mundane subject that most people would have passed by without a second thought - and that's what I really like about it! Well spotted, well seen and well photographed!
The image is sharp, the colours are natural and you've made use of the rule of thirds very well. Very best wishes for the contest.

The pail certainly appears empty but has a nice metallic sheen of blues and whites on the tops of the inside. The net with a brown leaf and browns in front may take away a tad, but I won't deduct a .5 and best wishes.

A very simplistic image of the empty pail. The exposure and white balance are good with no blow out of the silver colored pail. Good placement of the object in the frame.
