Now this looks like a cheap bad toupee. LOL, No offence Cara Cara. Nice work, I like the nice blurred background. You have captured him sharp and with nice depth of field. He looks like he is contemplating your next move.

This is indeed a strange looking bird, but it is also very cute, and you have pictured it so well. The eyes are well captured, and I also like how lovely the light is falling on the face. The background is nicely softened for the bird to stand out in an excellent way.

The photo is sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect.

I also like the way you cropped the photo and the centered position of the bird. It is a lovely and well taken photo Eileen, and with an excellent DOF.

I must say, it's quite impressive! The front portrait of the bird is really well captured, with excellent detail and a great level of exposure. The fact that the photo is not mixed media makes it even more impressive, as it really shows the true beauty of the bird. The cropping and resizing of the image, along with the brightening, really help to emphasize the bird's features, such as the eyes, beak, and feathers. The photo is very well balanced and everything is in focus, which makes it a really well executed shot. Overall, great job on capturing such a stunning and unique bird!

What a hansom bird, with his ear to ear beard, golden face and a nice black beret. This is a very remarkable bird with beautiful plumage. Can't get over that wonderful crown. Very nicely presented. Ray

Eileen,
A beautiful full face portrait of the Crested Caracara looking straight into your camera lens, maybe admiring it's reflection in your lens? The light sparkling in it's eyes while highlighting it's beautiful plumage & shining on it's beak & the shine on it's yellow skin around it's beak & eyes. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

Wow! What a wonderful close up shot of the bird. I have never seen one till now. He looks almost human!:) You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

I've only been to Florida once, and I didn't get to see one of these birds, it's beautiful.
Your photo is well taken, with excellent sharp focus, showing every wonderful detail and your dof is spot on. The colours look natural and I like the tight crop.
Thanks for sharing.

This is gorgeously captured with the background done so well and that unique bird. The feathers in the front are beautiful. With that black top almost covering the bright eyes, and that orange face, with the white, off-white surrounding the neck. I can imagine an older woman/man with a black cap tight upon her/his head and a sweater or shawl with nice work in the front and a woolen-like collar. Rather outstanding all of it is when I think about it and I changed a "5" to a "6".

This Cara Cara bird is new to me. What an unusual but beautiful bird. His golden beak reminds me of the golden paint I use while painting. He is really a remarkable creature. Beautifully focused. Amazing details. Nicely presented. Thank you for introducing me to Cara Cara!
