This is a cute photo of a Northern nightingale, it's as if she's looking at you and saying is this my better side. It's very well focussed and you captured the colours well, good job.

Nice photo. I like the colors of his feathers.Interesting that patch of yellow . Does this bird sing? I don't think I every seen a Nightingale before except in books.

Tanks a million for your complementary review on this female Blackcap ~ Sylvia atricapilla it's tuneful song has lend it to getting the nickname of the "Northern Nightingale" it's NOT a Nightingale ~ Luscinia megarhynchos. It's resident in Europe (except Mediterranean area), northwestern Asia; winters northwestern Europe south to tropical western Africa. I usually have a pair in my garden each wither. This year I've had three females & two males.

A warm loving bird in Alaska who would have thought. In the winter yet. Summer maybe.

This is such a darling-looking little bird. Unfortunately, he is well-centered in the photo but nearly disappears into the background. Could the entry be edited, so there would be more contrast between the bird and the environment?
Best wishes.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that pretty bird and its location. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

She really does look like she is posing, and she obviously thinks this is her best side!
A lovely photo of this dear little bird. Good composition with her placed slightly to the right, leaving enough space for her to look in to, and the colours are beautifully natural. Very best wishes for the competition.

Nicely done. The colors are natural and well rendered. The surrounding habitat shows the type of area that this bird enjoys.

The placement of the bird in the frame is nicely done. Focus on the bird is good.

A nice photo Susan ~ Steve

Awww what a cutie. Lady Blackcap does indeed appear to be posing. I can hear her say "get my good side, get my good side" haha
She also appears to have one leg elevated and she is saying " get my legs, I have nice legs"
Nicely presented with focus and balance. Good textures and interest. Best of luck in the nature contest!
