Hi LeeAnne, if there is one thing I know, it's that if I see an image of a deer skull in a strange place, it was done by you! Lol Looks like you found a great place to put the skull this time. Looks like a snug fit.Great focus and lighting show the skull off well! Almost fells like the demon
of the woods is watching you! Nice job! :o) Nancy

Well this is very eerie and intriguing at the same time. Very creative and imaginative. Excellent sharp focus. Amazing textures and designs created throughout the piece. Great title. You should have entered this in the black and white contest. Would have been a true contender.
Really nicely composed and presented with precision.
Well accomplished!

This is another amazing photo Lee Anne! With excellent focus you've picked up every tiny detail in both the tree and the deer skull. Your tonal range is excellent and as for composition, what a great idea to put the skull into this cavity, it works so well.
I always like to speculate on what passers by think as you lug your skulls around - does anyone ever say anything?
Great photo, well done!

Thanks very much, Charlotte, quite sure if someone had seen me the other day in the woods trying to fit different skulls into tree cavities they would have been scratching their head, or running in the opposite direction-lol! Usually no one?s around when I do this!

The process of doing this is really interesting and well done. The skull and shadows above and below are so good. The sides of the tree are fine. Fine capture indeed but a little more contrast might be possible.

Looks like an alien about to pounce on you!:):) This is a good outdoor shot. The light and dark is good. Overall it has been composed well with interesting foreground and background all adding to the interest of the main subject .

A good looking nature image posted here! Had to look up what cist meant!! Your fine and classical composition offers us a good view of its possibly final resting place. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

This is awesome LeeAnn!
Very well thought out and arranged Deer skull inside the hollowed cavity of the tree.
Well photographed with good focus, this image is clear and the textures of the tree and skull are well shown.
I think the B&W was a good choice , it works to draw the eye to the skull . Exposure is correct, I see good tonal variations here.
Well composed and presented!

Cool,LeeAnn!
It's like a 'warning sign' that's mounted outside the Sacred Ceremonial area of a 'Feral' Coven!
The picture looks Great and I'm liking it 'Big Time'! : D
