Hi James, All I could think of when I saw this was...she must have good balance to be sitting on the stool like that! LOL Love that her body is leaning to her left. She has some counter balance. Great form, with good shadows. Looks like she has a spot light on her too. Nice job with your presentation! :o) Nancy

I like the spotlight effect on the model, but particularly that ring of light on the floor below the stool.
Your paintings show that you have great talent, but I'd like to see what else you can paint as these semi naked women are, for me at least, all much of a muchnesses - I'd be really interested in seeing you try something more out of your comfort zone, a landscape, still life or any other scene to give a bit of variation? You might surprise yourself.

The background, with the light coming from the left bring light on the girl's face and the flooring in the oval partially under the stool, is lovely; like those blues. The yellow clothing departs from your usual, also well done.

Not my usual style of art but it's my personal opinion. I think it's a well painted image and that the yellow helps bring the scene out more. The pose gives the image character. Thanks for sharing.
