This is off to a very good start, it looks like something you would see on television. This would have been even better if you had him dressed in a different color though. His clothes blend in too well with the bolts of energy.

artoman, dragonball z looks extremely fierce to me, and prone to violence, which I abhor. Even if the guy is something of a "protector" or "rescuer", that would not make the difference for me. In any case, having said that, I think the drawing is well done and evidences some imagination and creativity. Yet it is not entirely different than many such characters I saw in "comic" books long ago, when I was a youngster.
