I just love the damsel flies and they are not easy to spot or find.

Wow! What a beautiful capture. Pictures of wild things always amaze me. Sometimes they just seem like they're waiting for someone to take a chance to immortalize their magnificence. You have definitely done that with this damselfly. Don't know if it was lighting, filter, editing, but whatever you did...the combination works for me. This is so awe inspiring.

Gret colors and a very delicate frame. The use of the spot focus and lighting adds a very dramatic feel to the scene. The DOF is excellent, and the darker framing certainly helps us focus on the little critter. Our dragonflies are a bit larger and usually not this pretty.

Damselflies are so fun to watch and photography. I love your composition using two diagonal lines for interest. The blue/orange complementary colors are great. The background is perfect to bring out the subject that much more. Well done and worthy of a six star rating.

Absolute kudos on this well detailed and gorgeously colored photo Pat! The damsel fly shows exquisite detail down to the tiny hairs below her wings. Her blue color is well set against the soft background and she stands out nicely. Superb lighting! Excellent, thank you for sharing!

This is a beautifully colored damselfly with blues, purples and clear wings on a nicely colored reddish board. The background is a lovely green, actually several greens, also. Thanks for sharing.

It's so sharp, how on earth did you manage that, I know these lovely little critters, and they don't hang around for long!!
An excellent shot, with good lighting and perfect dof giving a lovely blurred background, yet keeping the entire damselfly in focus. Very impressive!
