A very beautiful picture of what I think is a Blue-tailed Damselfly ~ Ischnura elegans alighted on a dried stem. the light sparking in it's eye while highlighting it's blue & black Thorax & abdomen & it's black veined gossamer wings Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus,

Hi Pat,Love these little guys! They have a tendency to come back to the same place they previously landed so I'm always ready to capture them. You captured a very nice shot of this little guy! Nice focus and pov. The lighting is a little dark but it's still a very nice shot! :o) Nancy

Oh, Pat the initial visual impact is off the scale on this one - its stunning.
This is an exceptionally well framed presentation of this blue damsel fly. The tight cropping brings the insect out in front in a very visually pleasing way.
The color range and lighting of the take are well balanced and contribute nicely to the overall eye appeal of your composition. The natural looking blue is a fine contrast with the background.
Pat the only thing keeping me from giving this marvelous shot a 6 is the loss of focus in one wing. Do not despair, these small insects are the devil to get in full focus. Overall the detail is high resolution sharp - I can count the sensory hairs on its back and legs.
