Hi Sesha, I have always enjoyed the scenic images you do, but this portrait is totally awesome. Love the shading and the incredible detail in this. The story behind this is so sad and yet the face is so innocent and precious. This piece of work is outstanding!!! Wish I could give you more than 6 stars. This deserves 10x that amount! This is a super contender for the contest. Sending my super positive wishes for you to win! :o) Nancy

a great and very appropriate entry Sesha into the "Baby and Child Art Contest";
it clearly represents what I've seen unfortunately very often and everywhere when visiting India;

    Yes. I see the harried sight of these children every time I step out . It's heart-wrenching. Life is is cruel to most of the humans I think.
    Thank you for taking the time to rate and comment on my artwork. I do appreciate it.

Oh Sesha, you should do more portraits like this, it's absolutely stunning! I really don't know what else to say about it, except that you've captured the essence of every child of a lesser God across the globe!
Please let us see more like this!

Totally love this artwork you have captured the sadness and despair in the childs expression.
The use of purely black in varying shades works perfectly.
It is a sad story of a world wide issue where children are neglected and have no hope of a better future. Here in Australia it is drugs, alcohol, gambling and family violence. When are we as people going to start respecting and caring for humans of any race.

A very heartfelt meaning behind this art piece. It really helps me see this piece in a whole other view. The details with the shading and light are placed so nicely, as well as the strategy you described using is really seen for me.

This is truly remarkable and a very impactful art work portraying a gorgeous, innocent child who does not deserve the plight she is in. Full of emotion; those beautiful eyes and face show sadness, questions, poverty and much more. Perfectly executed Sesha!

    Yes. There is a lot of sadness wherever you turn.. Hopefully humans will realize it and come back to the values we were taught in school. Thanks so much for the positive feedback, great review and fantastic rating. I appreciate your support, my friend!

At first glance I thought this was a photo. You have given is work of art life and emotion. Th wisps of hair and the life in her eyes are presented with such detail and realism. The head study allows you to add so much detail and DOF. The shading and use of shadow creates a magical feel for this wonderful work of art.

This is just awesome! You have captured so much in this art piece.

Of course the eyes make the whole image. If you look, they say so much. Sadness, questions about the future, why me? please help, and so much more.

This could be the poster child for homelessness.

I like the softness filter you used also, it makes it more emotional in my mind.
