Bob,
A beautiful portrait of this Wild Gobbler Turkey posing all puffed up hoping to attract a jennie. The light sparkling in his eye while highlighting his dramatic & colourful plumage. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Does look though an impressive looking turkey in this, think though i might have gone with a vertical version in this, only becase it would have got rid of that white bit on the right in this...Brian

Great shot of this impressive wannabe lothario! I like how you can see all the intricate details in his feather markings and tail. He looks rather pleased with himself! Excellent camera techniques with lighting and focus. Great composition. Suzanne

He's extremely handsome Bob, even with his bald glaring pate! Lol And I'm so glad you've warned people off eating him, he's much too regal to have those wonderful feathers plucked out!
I love those iridescent blues in the front feathers and the amazing detail in the tail ones.

Charlotte... Imagine this - If Franklin had his way then the first words spoken from the Moon would have been, "Hello Huston. This is Tranquility base. The Turkey has landed."

Yes, it is good to see Tom. I'm glad he is around, past his prime of tenderness, perhaps to escape forever becoming table meat. He is truly gorgeous with the blue head, red colors beneath his neck; and the outstanding spread, shape and fine earth color of his tail feathers. His body feathers with the blues and other colors are dazzling too.

Welcome, artist Bob. I really do like the post. Male gobblers sure are beautiful. Somehow it seems unfair! (LOL!)

Great looking shot!. Fine example of wild life photography. The colours of the turkey really speak here. The light, and the composition have worked well and you have caught the contended look of the turkey very well. Good effort.

Wonderful clear details of this Lothario in full blown plumage. The light has captured the colours beautifully with so many shades of colours and patterns. A great nature image!
