Aha but this one I would have taken, a ruined building is always a great subject!
I feel it would have been better a little closer in though, the foreground adds nothing to the image and the power lines I would have tried to clone out - but they and pylons are my real pet hates! Lol An interesting shot though, with excellent focus and dof.

Fine photograph of this unusual setting. The sky is nice with its blue and some white. The old house in ruins is interesting, especially the foliage on the roof and background. But the foreground is not very attractive, it overwhelms the building somewhat.

    Welcome indeed.

I just wonder what this place was like in its hay day. A working homestead. Probably a mini farm, maybe self sufficient. On thing I can say for sure is that it has good bones. You have done a fine job framing and presenting this relic. Ray

Nik,
A haunting image of an abandoned house minus windows & doors covered in Ivy on the Beara Peninsula, down there in West Cork. It's owners may have abandoned it as they Emigrated to England or farther away never to return. I'm sure if walls could talk they would have a tale to tell. Beautiful composition, frasming & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

Hi Nik, This is something you definitely don't see every day! Love taking pictures of old buildings, but I don't think I've ever seen one like this! makes you wonder how long it took for this to happen. I would have tried to zoom in a little closer but still love the shot! Focus and lighting are good. Thanks for sharing! :o) Nancy

Great find of this fixer upper in the middle of nowhere. The green foliage almost covering the roof, leaving an interesting window still open is an interesting detail. Nicely presented.

I love the way the foliage grows on the roof of this old structure.
Well captured with good focus, this image is clear, exposure s correct, colors and tones appear true and natural. Well composed and presented!

This is fine piece of Photography. This demonstrates how one can find beauty even in some neglected least attractive things in this world. The composition of the shot gives it the right mood. Well done.
