What a cheerful looking photo of the Dahlia. You have short it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

You are making wish for Spring. I have 30 dahlia root clumps ready to be planted once the ground warms up. The use of light gives us a great look at the individual petals. The dark backdrop helps pop the yellow bloom. Nice catch.

    Thanks Gary, so lucky to be able to grow them, I have brown thumb instead of green so enjoy visiting other gardens.

Yes yellow is that special colour that brightens any environment and puts a smile on ones face. This is a lovely Dahlia nearly in full bloom. The sunlight on the petals in lovely and gives it an extra glow. Your image is clear and well focussed. All the best in the contest Mary!
