Pat...This is a stunning capture of the last few days of a tulips life. (I may have cropped the top of the image to where the top curl is, that is just me). The colours are just beautiful with the yellow centre, darker stamens and magenta coloured petals. The centre clarity is wonderful and the blurred green background sets it off. Quite a unique capture which suggests a creative approach.

Hi Pat, I love the way those two petals are curled over the main tulip. I think it adds a lovely artistic touch to the already beautiful flower. A good looking nature image posted here! Yes, it is sad when lovely blooms die, but we cannot control nature. Your fine and appropriate composition gives us a nice view of that old bloom. Nicely done!

The green and brownish colors in the background and bottoms are nice, well done behind the flower. The petals are lovely, especially the sheen in them. The focus is on the stamens and pistil which is noticed right off. The yellows and others are outstanding. But it does really look like a very nice painting focused upon just portions of the tulip. Thanks for sharing.
