an excellent composition and capture Bob with a very long (too long) story;
I like the reflection of this mountain in the still lake water;..

OMG who needs moose with views like that!! Tho the odd one would have been good I'm sure!
Your photo is stunning Bob! Those autumn colours, that reflection in the water with the mist rising from it, and you even managed to get a few ducks in it!
The whole is beautifully focused, with perfect exposure and white balance and your composition is lovely, I like that you kept in a bit of the foreground, it makes it feel like I'm standing there myself.

    For landscape shooters foreground clutter has always been a point of contention. Personally, Charlotte I will leave stuff like the grasses in the shot if they help or if they simply can't be avoided.

    So glad you liked the composition and a special thanks for the slick six... Bob

    You?re very welcome Bob, it was well deserved!
    Well in this shot I certainly feel it helps! But I think that?s often the case as it gives more of a feel of actually being there, whatever they say - but then I never was someone who likes to stick to the rules! Lol

Love the composition of this Bob the layers within hold the viewers interest and the colors are beautiful. Like the way the mist appears to be coming off the water. Lovely setting for sure. Shame you didn't get to see the Moose but sounds like you had a great trip.

What a beautiful scene Bob. I love the layers in this and the wonderful reflection in the still mirror like water. Also the mist coming off the waters edge. Lovely realistic colours. Very nicely composed your image is clear and focussed.

An absolutely stunning photograph of a beautiful location at Crystal Cascade.
It's the perfect time of year for such a photograph. Picturesque indeed. The fog across the horizon is a beautiful touch. Perfect focus and exposure.

Cool!
We observed a moose ( a full grown adult 'cow' ) playing around in 'the Old Champlain Feeder Canal' here in upstate New York a few years ago!
( That slightly unnerving experience inspired my drawing 'The Kelpie' that I posted recently. )
BUT...that doesn't have a lot to do with my admiration of this great looking picture!
It's interesting,well-presented,and lotsa' fun to look at!
~Sean
