Excellent Mary!

I have an Umbrella Cockatoo, baby, and he is quite a character!

I cannot imagine seeing these in the wild.. how exciting to be able to go outside and see something like this!

Thanks Eileen, we can get groups of 50 or more flying over, they aren't quite as bad as the Corella which can be up to 200 stripping trees bare. But very noisy when they fly past. :)

Another great capture Mary of this Sulphur Crested Cockatoo doing his antics. I laughed at your description.
Your image is clear and focused and well presented. Thanks for sharing Mary!

    Thanks so much Chris :)

This is rather a nice bird, definitely different, with that greenish-yellow top and the back of the Cockatoo. The boy is rather nice, the feathers in nice sections. The tree is nice as is the sky.

I can't imagine seeing these birds in the wild, that has to be so very cool;there was a time i really thought about getting one for a pet,but never did. This is a great capture of this raucous one checking for the perfect nesting hollow; love the raised crest and open beak; a very well taken, nicely composed photo!

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that beautiful bird and its location. Like the yellow feathers. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!

This is a lovely shot of Cockatoo. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Cool,Mary!
What an attractive Avian 'Beastie' that is,my friend!
( I think I may try drawing one later this year! )
Your nicely-presented photo of this handsome specimen ( Who looks like he might be shouting orders to his squadron mates down below him! )
looks wonderful!

Thanks Sean, they are great looking birds and have very long lives 20-40 years in the wild and much longer as pets.
