You have produced a very interesting and scenic photograph. At first glance, these snow/ice formations reminds me of snow/ice sculptures of polar bears and of frozen dolphins.

Thank you so much Eileen! This yer we had over 90 inches of snow!there is a lot of water near this glacier , that?s why we were able to go while it?s frozen .

Stunning image Pat the subtle colors of the glacier against the cloudy sky make a beautiful peaceful setting. The exposure and white balance are perfectly handled with no blown out sections. Gorgeous composition.

I love how you have captured the deep greens of the ice, it looks so cold despite the sunshine! A beautifully composed and framed shot with gorgeous depth and fine focus. Lovely work Pat, thanks for sharing a site that I might not ever get to see in person!

Our daffodils are almost over and you're still sitting in deep snow! I don't think I could hack it!

Thank you so much Charlotte! This winter we got over 90 inches of snow, we still have over 2 feet covering the yard. I grew up here so I?m used to this. I love our summers because it stays light for 19 hours and the sky never darkens from June through the end of August

    You?re very welcome Pat.
And yet your country keeps functioning - the slightest snow in the UK and the schools close, the trains stop and we are constantly issued warnings not to go out unless completely necessary! Lol

Oh yes, we do what we need to do no matter what the weather is, we drive all wheel drive and 4 wheel drive vehicles , we have warm clothes. My little dog has a down filled jacket! The houses here are built to code for this climate. Summer is the best!

Yes I?m sure, but so short! I think the UK should come and learn a few winter tips from you hardy Alaskans! Lol

What a beautiful landscape scene. Love the composition, leading the eye through the center gap. The low hanging clouds in the background are a nice touch also. So pretty, well done, deserves a 6.
