    Ray,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Robins. It's only in the breeding season that you get two together , at other times the second one would be chased away out of it's territory.

Nice to get a pair of Robins posing well for you Susan. The colors are very natural and the setting shows the environment they live in nicely. Well focused and composed.

    Mary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Robins perched side by side. Yesterday I got a picture of one passing a gift to the other but it's blurred so I can't post it ...they must be about to nest & raise a family. Other wise they would not tolerate each other at such close proximity they are vert territorial out of the breeding season.

The two birds, side by side, are picturesque. Their lovely small portions of orange-brown on their faces and grays, whites, and sharp eyes are very nice. Although the background is busy, it is behind, not in front of the focus images, so it does not distract. The purples in the thick branch are nice.

Welcome, artist friend Susan. You skillfully capture so many lovely bird settings.

Oh, so pretty. You caught them in a perfect positioning on the limb. One just slightly behind and slightly above the other. Also sharp as a tack. I am not familiar with this robin, do they have a pretty singing voice?

    Cindy,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of European Robins perched beside each other.(They are Flycathers, while your American Robin is a Thrush & twice the size of ours) They have a distinctive, loud & tuneful song that can be heard year round. Apart from the breeding season it's unusual to see two Robins together. They are very territorial & will chase off any other Robin entering their territory.

This is a nice little shot of these robins and the foliage that surrounds them its in focus as such and overall a good photo, maybe needs a slight darken[but minor] and i know you use frames all the time but i do feel it slightly distracts from the image, you probarly disagree with that though...Brian

    Brian,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Robins. I got a picture of this pair passing gifts this morning but due to rain on the Patio door the focus is soft so I will NOT post it.

Susan, this is a wonderful photo, the best one you've uploaded yet in my opinion (not that I've seen them all though! Lol)
The composition is lovely, with the two little guys sitting so close, and very nicely adhering to the rule of thirds! And I like that they're surrounded by branches and twigs, yet not obscured by either in any way - not an easy task!
Exposure and colour are spot on, nicely focused showing lovely detail.

    Charlotte,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Robins side by side.
This morning I captured a picture of them passing gifts but due to rain on the Patio door & the speed of the action the focus is soft.
If you'd like a copy never the less let me know your email & I can forward it to you.

cute capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this pair of chubby robins in the bush is great. the capture of the light is great. the framing and font is great as well. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

What a neat capture this is. They looked puffed up, must be a tad chilly. The image is focused and offers lots of details. Thanks for sharing it.

Other than in the breeding season you would not see this happen. Robins as a rule are VERY territorial & will chase off any other Robin that dares invade it's territory.

Hi Susan, Your two European Robins are delightful! Love how they are perched together. There are times when too many branches can be a distraction, but in this case it seems like the perfect place for these two. The focus and lighting are very nice and so is your presentation. Thanks for sharing! :o) Nancy
