Beautiful artwork.
The flower is intriguing and beautiful! I like the dramatic difference from dark to light. The only thing I might change is removing the shadow on the light side. I feel it is a little distracting. Of course just my opinion! Beautifully created!!

When I brought this take up I was looking elsewhere and saw the image in my extreme peripheral vision and thought to myself, "Why did Jody post a shot of her shag rug?"
This is an abstract on steroids. The Chrysanthemum is well captured with good focus, it is clear, the exposure is correct, The monotones appear natural.
The mixed media efforts are well thought through and provide an imaginative look at the flower.
Glad to see that you have a reliable way to cope with winter. This is a well produced capture, well done... Bob

Lovely detail in the flower, and great patterns created in the fluffy explosion. The black background sets the whole off very well. I think the original flower photo was pretty good too! Good work.

Jodi this is beautiful, you have enhanced this mum and gave it the feeling of a painting. I love the back ground from black to a variety of grey creating a feeling of dimension and the shadow works too. Very nicely done. Ray

I like the Chrysanthemum itself which has an abstract look on the flower's left, my right, with the white highlights, but the right side with the beige (designs within the beige are very nice), and especially the dark, which takes away just a tad, I think. It is still different and very nice.
