Oh nearly missed seeing the little frog, what a great hiding place for him as he peers from under the waterlily flower.
Color is natural and the focus and composition are good.
Congrats on your 3rd place win.

Thank you very much!

Lovely flower. The petals are sharp yet soft enough. The reddish that separates the middle upper portion is nice. The green leaves and dark sections are nice. Really lovely and best wishes in the contest. That little frog in front is adorable.

Hi LeeAnn, Looks like a bullfrog to me! LOL I was so taken by the beautiful waterlily I didn't even notice the frog until I saw the larger image. Absolutely love the flower! Love the fact you got an extra bonus with the little frog. He is sitting just right! Glad your wish came true and you captured this wonderful shot! Great focus and lighting make both subjects shine! Never would have expected to see a shot like this in the wildlife contest! Cool! Good Luck! :o) Nancy

Lee Anne,
A beautiful picture of the little frog posing on a Water Lily pad under the pink Water Lily as it watches you closely. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

What a wonderful find! It must have been your lucky day - maybe you should have bought a lottery ticket too! Lol
On first look I thought it was just a photo of a water lily and then spotted the wildlife! I wondering if a really tight crop on this might have worked better, from half way up the 2nd big petal behind his head and into a square, so that he's surrounded by pink with a bit of green lillypad showing below him? I tried stretching it on my IPad and it looked great like that! It's just an idea.
Your image is beautifully sharp giving good detail, and the exposure is spot on creating excellent colours throughout.
Good luck!

I mistakenly thought you had entered a flower pic for the wildlife contest. Indeed this is a unique shot so skillfully carried out and posted for the pleasure of viewers. Well done! Good luck!

I like Eeryops, pretty sure I still have my plastic one from when I was a kid; don?t think the lily pad would have held him-lol!
