Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :-) These pretty roses are still lovely to view and part of the cycle of life.
They are beautifully arranged
in the old white pitcher. Your focus is wonderfully clear on the subject. Your mixed media effects are lovely and add to the 'old world effect' Annie!

I do exactly the same with flowers, I can't bear to chuck them until they're completely over!
A well taken shot, with perfect focus and exposure as always. But I'm not sure I like the background effects as much as others of yours, but that's just down to personal taste.

Hi Annie, Love you images but especially the after effects. Your effects have a sheer ribbony effect that flows beautifully thru the image. The roses may not be fresh but they still retain some of their elegance. Love the focus and lighting! Very nice presentation My Friend! :o) Nancy

Your honoring the roses of the past is commendable. The slight tinge of rust on the petals doesn't detract from their beauty. Your use of the light in the background has the feel of taffeta used as a wedding veil. Beautiful scene.

A beautiful photo Annie! I admire the lighting that you have used and the fantastical background gives the pitcher movement as well as stability, it feels alive. The flowers are well focused showing good details and their natural colors are immensely pleasing. A talented composition with skillful mixed media changes that bring out the best. Thanks for sharing and glad to see you posting again!

a very good close up Annie of these white and pink roses in the old white pitcher; your sophisticated post-production give them an extra look;

I buy flowers and photograph them. Mostly in the winter. These roses have a character to them. Petals a wilting but still not passed over to junk. I like the effect of the table

    Not a problem.

Still a beautiful arrangement. Standing strong and bright, they adorn the pitcher that holds them. Anyway a withering rose is just the way of life, a gentile reminder of mortality. Thank you for this wonderful presentation. Ray

This is another example of you annie where still life is so good,think you are on your own in regards to this sort of stuff and although not strictly my cup of tea in regards to photography it still evokes how if you are good at something then stick with it...Brian

Yes, they are looking pretty, artist friend. It looks like a setting out of an older art book where beauty is really appreciated. The roses are so soft and the vase picturesque. I really like what you did with the ribbon-like in the floor/background also.

    Most welcome. I really like this scene, the vase and background, even the wilting lovely roses.
