    Thanks Ray, it?s not just you, I actually had to check the reviews as I thought you had too! But I posted it at around the same time and the Fish n Chips, which you definitely reviewed, so I think that?s why we?re both confused! Ha ha well that?s my excuse and I?m sticking to it! LOL

I like the title name! An interesting nature image of many white swans crowded together. Charlotte you have done well to capture the one black swan in the frame. Your focus and clarity is great and nice lighting on the swans. All the best in the contest!

Being in the right place at the right time helps create the perfect photo. That fact that this black waterfowl showed up at this moment is a real bonus. It is impossible to have clean lines with chopping some bodies. Spectacular shot.

    Thank you very much Gary! I?m so pleased you understand the difficulty, there were so many more too that had I got them all in the black one would have been too small!

the black Aussie swan has a lot of choice between his dozens of white partners; tell him he is very lucky indeed; a good composition and capture;

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of those beautiful swans. Like the black one. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Looks like you were swanning about again,this is a photo that probarly i might have taken only because of the black swan otherwise might just have looked and walked on by and your will always cut of heads,think this is one of those photos that you will take only once...Brian

    Oh dear, lol! Thanks Brian. I was going to add in my notes how the group went way beyond the part I took, and the impossibility of not cutting some in half - then decided I didn?t want to draw attention to the fact I had and hope no one noticed! But I forgot about your eagle eye! Lol

    your welcome it is the trouble with large groups i have had similiar problems when i go to reinactments when there is a battle scene

Great photograph of the white swan invasion with only one black one.

It is actually a hard picture to take if you don't want to cut some partial swans, a reason I usually don't post large groups.

Great contrast and overall nice to view so many of the in one place.
Thank you for sharing Charlotte!

    Thank you so much! Yes I was going to put in my notes about the impossibility of not cutting some in half, as they went on forever - but then decided not to draw attention to the fact I had! Lol

    I know how it goes; there would me no bird left. There is a beauty in imperfection also. Great work and thank you for sharing it.

Typical Aussie gate crashing the party :) Love the full frame image with the Australian Black Swan making an excellent contrast against the white swans.
Good handling of exposure and focus overall is also good.

Hi Charlotte, I would be pretty thrilled just to get a shot of so many swans, but you got a real bonus with that black swan. Very Cool and fun to see. Love the lighting and the focus. Thanks for sharing this wonderful shot! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Nancy
