I think the shape of the rose is beautiful! I like the way you add just a touch of color by keeping the red dark so just a little bit of the red shows. Love the position of the white rose in the image with its uplifted head. Very Nice presentation! Good Luck in the contest! :o) Helvi

if memory serves me right ..if you wear a white rose your mom is alive and red one if she is dead right? sadly i have to wear the red one..she did make it to 95. wink. nice capture. the angle of the shot of this white rose on red cloth is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. creative approach and great job overall.

I see an excellent example of top of the line White Balance Control - Well done. The fine texture of the rose is well focused and highly visible. The leading edges of each of the petals is sharp and clear.
The visual decent into the center of this beautiful flower is like a dream in the way the petals support and caress each other. All the while in an ever tightening Fibonacci spiral.
The colors are Mother appropriate for the occasion. The melding of the background adds a wonderful counter point.

The white rose stands out against the subdued red roses in this and detail is spot on,my one observation is people entering flower shots in a color contest when there are enough flower contests on here to put it in...Brian
