Thank you for this wonderful review. I am glad you like it. This is a sketch of CorbyLinda a member of the FAR family, She says hello to every one, she was very sick and had to stop for a while, also recently had a hip replacement. Her vision has deteriorated, but she is in good spirits. Ray

It is so nice from you Ray to draw this simple, yet so real portrait of Linda. I am sure it will help her in her recovery.
Great details and composition are so nice to view.

Hi Ray, Love how the simplicity of using line created this awesome image! Love the way you gave the head a slight tilt to fill the image. You create in so many different ways it's a joy to see what you'll come up with next! Love how both the eyes and smile reveal a lot of warmth! This was very nicely done! :o) Nancy

Thank you Nancy, You may remember her, CorbyLinda from FAR. She was very sick and couldn't do much at all and had to stop about seven months ago. I am glad yo like it. Ray

Hi Ray, I had just started to get to know Linda. I'm so sorry to hear that she's very sick! It was really nice of you to do an image of her. I'm sure she'd be touched by that gesture! Hope she's on the way to recovery! :o)

She loved the picture and she sends everyone her regards. I told her everyone is asking for her, she was so sick and she is loosing her sight, but she is in good spirits. Ray

Glad to hear Linda's in good spirits! It's sad knowing that she's losing her sight especially since she's an artist. My prayers are definitely with her! Nancy

She has been through so much in the last eight months, now she is recovering from a hip replacement and there is a long list of other problems she had to deal with also. My thoughts and prayers are there too. Ray

Is that Corbylinda Ray? If it isn't then it looks very like her, if it is then well done, you've really caught her essence!
Line art always looks so easy when in fact it really isn't! Do you draw it first in pencil and then go over in felt tip? Actually thinking about it, I'll bet You just do it free hand and it comes out right first time! Am I right? You're such a talented artist.

Yes it is CorbyLinda. I draw in pencil first to get the right dimensions and positions. Once you put down a line you can't change it
-
It?s such a good likeness Ray! Very good luck in the contest.

Thank you Charlotte.

You?re most we think Ray

I think this is a classic form of simplistic art. A well formed head head with two smiling eyes, a small curve for a smiling mouth. Lines of flowing hair lines extending downward for the face, to represent flowing hair. Thanks for sharing. Good luck.

This is a great sketch and so dang sweet? Is Linda your wife? I would love to see a photo of her to see how well you captured her with simple use of lines. I struggle so much with drawing faces. All of mine end up looking crazy. Lol. But you did a great job! Best of luck!

Thank you, Sarah, I am glad you like it. She was on FAR and she got really sick and that was 7 months ago. You can look her up. Corbylinda. Drawing faces, just draw what you see not what you think you see. You can measure with your pencil and get the angle too.
