What a wonderful place to see. I love this image. The colors and lighting are perfect and the rippled canal mimics a Monet painting. Stunning!

very cool. the angle of the shot of the waterway and buildings is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A beautiful picture of this canal view in Venice with Gondolas tied up to the house entrances along the canal on which both the houses on either side & the sky above are reflected as an added bonus. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

For some unknown reason i thought places were not aloud for these letter contests,but i probarly am wrong on that,anyway that aside i do like this one it has a nice softish color and the vertical format suits this one,i love venice and hopefully will be going next year [health permitting] on a coach trip there,the boats lining either side adds to this scene and not a gondola in site either [they seem to be everywhere when you take a photo,well nice one this...Brian

Ah. . . that I didn?t/don?t know, it didn?t say anything about it in the rules - well if it gets rejected by the committee we?ll know for certain! Lol
Er sorry but there is a gondola, bottom left corner - it?s nearly impossible to get a shot in Venice without one, they?re everywhere!

Thing is i never thought to put in places when doing these contests [know anywhere beginning with x] lol,the gondola thing i was referring to was one going up the middle of canal as nearly every time i tried to get a shot of a canal one would suddenly appear mostly with japenese tourists,hopefully will be going.

Hmm a trip to China might be your best bet, or the X-ray department? Lol
I know what you mean about the tourists in gondolas! But try getting away from the main waterways, tourists are like sheep and follow the throng - I always visit the backstreets (or canals in this case!) as few of them dare go off the beaten track.
