This is magnificent!
The play of light and shadow is eye candy. The exquisite focusing is delicious and deep to infinity.
The framing is well thought out and executed brilliantly with superior camera technique.
The architectural features are near perfectly balanced from foreground column shadows to the background window counts - Yassir!
This shot is a frame it and hang it contest winner for sure... Bob

Beautiful image. I love the muted colors and all the lines, curves and angles. The symmetry draws your eye right into the center of the picture. My only suggestion might be to crop a tiny bit off the bottom and add some to the top. The top is cut off very close to the arches. If you don't have more of the top in the original photo, it is easy to extend the canvas on the top and use the content aware and/or clone brush to match the wall.

Thank you very much for your review. You may be right in your suggestion, but no one else has drawn attention to it and I rather like it as it is, with the detail of the stones and shadows in the foreground. Thanks though.

This is a beautiful and interesting entry for the contest, this architecture is so beautifully crafted, you have captured it very well to give the viewer a sense of being there.
Well focused, this image is sharp and clear and you have managed the exposure correctly, I feel that the light and shadows here makes this one special.
I love the silvery blue sky that shows in the open arches up on top.

Thank you so much Easton! Yes, the lack of people visiting the island was a real joy after the crowds on the main island of Venice, I always like getting off the beaten track and away from other tourists.
