Hi Maureen, I can see a very skillful work here, the Bison is very well rendered with accurate shape and size, the proportions are correct , colors and the textures of his hide are realistic.
It's such a lovely scene you have placed him in with a green fields leading to the mountains and the blue sky with nice cloud detail, this could easily be right here in Alaska.
It's impressive to view this! My only suggestion is that you photograph your artworks so that they present full frame. That will give this greater impact.

First kudos Maureen for getting the proportions of this plains Buffalo correct. Too often the difference in the size of the head compared to the rest of the body will be off. That is not the case with this fine rendition, it is spot on.

Second, the color palette with its rich contrast highlights the center stage placement of the Bison - lots of visual impact.

This is an excellent piece that honors this majestic and sacred animal... Bob
