You have brilliantly produced an expressive, meaningful photograph that shows this child's proud thirst for learning, and his willingness to share his learning accomplishments with you. I also admire how your photography captured that the schoolboy's green color sweater complements the green crayon/coloring of the circle green. I can also personally relate to your picture of the young student because I am a retired teacher, having taught grades Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades 1, 2, and 3 for 32 years, and I taught children with many different learning modalities and challenges.
BRAVO to you and to your son for your special and important voluntary work.

Thank you so very much for your lovely review - especially as you only earned a meagre 2 cents for it!
Bravo to you for your 32 years in teaching! I really loved our six weeks there but a lifetime in teaching is truly honourable!

This is a wonderful capture of a young and ambitious lad from Tanzania, nonverbally communicating with something we all take for granted a piece of paper. This shows your unique understanding and kindness to all regardless of their ability, You are what the world needs, a caring and loving person. Amazing what a piece of paper can be. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

Such a beautiful story and what an amazing experience for you both volunteering.
Here we say children are disadvantaged if they haven't got a computer at school such a hardship when they haven't got enough paper.
Your composition and color/skin tones are good with sharp focus.

I simply love the story behind this. How wonderful you were to be able to volunteer in Tanzania. People these days never seem to see the good in others or take a moment to appreciate life around us. Wish I could of met this little man. He is a example of everything we should embrace as a society. No matter what life has thrown at this young man, he still finds it in himself to laugh and smile. Amazing. Thanks for sharing his story.

The lad is adorable; the expression on his face is precious. There is paper and he seems to be enjoying it and crayon. Best wishes in the contest. Your narrative adds to the meaning of this imagery.

A beautiful picture of the handsome young Sammy busy colouring in the design on his paper. Explaining in his way what he is doing.
Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

This is a lovely shot of the young boy. He appears so immersed in his artwork. The light and shadows, the colours and the composition have worked well. Good luck!
