This really pulls at my heart strings, as I also have a dog named Daisy. It makes me sad but also happy. Very well done! So detailed, I just want to reach out and let her. Thanks for sharing! Good luck!

It is easy to see that this is an old dog, but Daisy looks like such a kind and gentle soul. I especially like how well you have brought out the fine textures of the fur, and also the fine shine in the eyes.
It is easy to see that this is done paying a very good attention to details, and also with a good use of high lights. The neutral background works well.
The format and framing is perfect, and Daisy has got a fine placement on the paper. I think this is a truly lovely and well done drawing, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Beautiful drawing with graphite pencil of this lovely dog Daisy. The eyes are beautifully drawn with just the right amount of catch light. You've captured the feeling of a well loved older dog very well here. Excellent use of shading and blending. Beautiful composition. Best of luck in the contest. Suzanne

Such a lovely portrait of this dear old dog, it's always so sad when our beloved dogs get old. I would imagine that your friend was delighted with your drawing!
Beautifully drawn, with excellent proportions and lovely detail.
I particularly like how you've captured her sad watery eyes with the grey hairs around them.
Her muzzle is also beautifully done.
Very good luck in the contest!
