Well deserved win Charlotte what an awesome capture. The exposure on white of bird is perfectly handled and composition is great.

I love this photo that so blissfully portrays maternal nurturing in nature!
Awesome capture that is perfect in every way.
Sad that these gorgeous birds are at risk of extinction.
Once again, a true inspiration for getting out in nature and discovering its jewels.

I absolutely adore this pic of black legged Kittiwake protecting her two chicks from predator's by nesting on a very narrow ridge on a sheer rockface on the Farne islands in Northumberland, UK! Very nice shot, indeed. I believe this to ne a great contribution!! Good luck!
Love the story it tells. Would be sweet for a Mother's Day card!

an excellent close up and stop action of this Kittiwake bird protecting her two chicks; good framing with very sharp details; a potential contest winner;

A beautiful clutch of kittiwake chicks under the constant watch of their mother, in a nest that nestles on the ledge of rock-face. A true testimony to beautiful bird facing extinction. The best of luck in the contest Charlotte, love this shot. Ray

    I did take this a few years ago, as this island (where you can get off the boat) has been closed for the last couple of years due to bird flu - another high risk to these lovely birds!
