Great capture! The bird certainly is in flight lol. The angle this was taken is a nice added touch. Also stands out well against the water. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Nice shot! I've lived near the water my whole life and never seen a seagull with the markings, so beautiful, thanks for sharing! Excellent composition, clarity and lighting, well done!

Thank you for your review! I have to admit that when I first saw one I thought it was some unusual gull. . . until I was told it?s the markings of a juvenile! Lol

A beautiful stop action picture of this juvenile Black-headed Gull in flight over the sea. All movement in it's wings stopped by your fast exposure. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

A beautiful shot of a young female Gull banking off of a northeast wind gust zipping along trying to gain altitude. Look at that wing span. For just one moment can you imagine flying just like that. Beautiful capture. Ray

Hello there! What a beautiful photo! I love seagulls even though so many people call them rats. LOL You definitely created the a "peaceful" scene. Great job. Thank you for sharing with us all. Best of luck in your journey!

I have never seen an immature Seagull. To bad that they lose those excellent feather markings upon reaching adulthood.

Your timing for and framing of this shot is impeccable - full wing spread and a head profile.

The camera settings for a shallow DOF reveal fine details of the wings and back. However the eye and beak are seen they are somewhat soft.

Overall this is a really good effort and a fine entry for the contest. Good luck... Bob

a good one of a seagull in flight and more so because of the format you used this is harder than a horizontal photo so kudos to you for this one...Brian
