If you are looking for wooden structures, an old barn is the perfect object to photograph, and you have really brought them out well. I also like that this is a winter scene with a crisp blue sky. The snow is indeed well captured, and the barn is standing out in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details, and the exposure and white balance is spot on.
The format and framing is perfect, and the barn has got a fine placement within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
