Love the awesome focus you have in this! Both the bee and the flower are in perfect focus. Love the detail! The lighting shows them off beautifully! Love the way you cropped it. This image would have been great as a color shot but your BW view doesn't suffer at all! Truly a beautiful shot! Totally understand why it won the contest! Wish I had a six for it! Congratulations to you! This is an OUTSTANDING black and white image showing the bee on the white flowers, the bee has a perfect placement and I like the angle of view . Spot into is, this image is sharp and clear and I see such well defined detail over every part of the bee. I especially appreciate the near wing.
Exposure is perfect, I see nice tonal variations.

Beautiful Black and White capture of this Bee on a flower cluster. The Bee is very intriguing in the dark shades and really stands out on the light flowers. I like the asymmetry of the shot as well.Nicely done!

I think this is a fine entry for a contest and I especially like the fine distinctions between dark and light. I also like the softened background for the pretty blossoms and the bee stand out in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details both in the blossoms and the bee. The exposure is perfect.
The cropping is working well and the bee and flowers are well placed within the frame. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo Cindy, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
