A beautiful picture of this corner of Norwich with the overhanging first floor & cobblestone street. The shop window in the foreground with the Bear shop sign in the window and Paddington Bear visible through the shop window. Interesting composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

I love this shot! The cobbled street makes this shot so cool! I don't recall ever seeing a cobbled street in person, only in images like this. The combination of the cobbled street and the "Bear Shop" just win you over. To me at least there us warmth in this image. It has a wonderful nostalgia feel to it! NO hustle and bustle here! Thanks for sharing a calm moment that has an endearing touch! I think it's a great entry for the city streets contest. Good Luck! :o) Helvi

Cobbled Street is an excellent city street scene for the following reasons: 1) it evokes a warm and nostalgic feeling of time past with its cobbled streets. 2) The composition is perfect as the street leads you up and away. 3) The colors are beautiful and tell a seasonal story. 4) It is a crisp image with great detail. I like the shadows on the buildings and the window displays. Could that be a lighted Christmas tree in the left window of the Bear Shop? Love the scene, I would love to walk on this street! Best wishes in the contest.

    thanks Easton Bay for the good comments and six stars,don,t no about the tree,the funny thing in norwich is a lot of people don,t visit here or even know it exists,even though its less than 10 minutes walk from the main shopping centre,think thats the beauty for me in photography you become aware of so many things around you that other people miss.

I can almost picture myself walking this cobbled street and checking out the quaint shops along the way. Composition colours and tones are correct. Lighting is perfect accentuating the buildings. Amazing!!

This is a wonderful shot of a city street. Wonder why there not a single soul on the street! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good luck!

This is a great shot and so typically English! I love that although it's in a city, there isn't a single car or person to be seen!
The dappled shadows on the Bear Shop and the autumn leaves really make this shot, but I do like the pov with the church in the background too.
Beautifully focused, with such an excellent dof that every part of the shot is crystal clear!
Very good luck in the contest!

a very good entry into the
"City Street Contest" with this old cobbled street taken on an early autumn day as inferred from the fallen leaves;

The scene is lovely with the shadows dancing and subtly being displayed, in various places. I like the tints on the buildings. Skilled photography indeed and best wishes for the nice cityscape.
