An absolutely beautiful image of a gorgeous buck! I am so glad that he is sleeping peacefully. That he fell asleep while you were photographing him is a wonderful homage to you.
The colors are perfect and the lighting is superb! Bravo!

WOW, LeeAnne! I can't tell you how much I envy you! I never see sights like this! I think it's amazing how much these deer trust you! You get amazing shots that few others could achieve. I so wish that I had a six to bless this with, but even that would seem miniscule for the image. I'm sending you wishes for luck in the contest, but I think it's a hands down win for you! :o) Nancy

Hi LeeAnne, I don't know anyone here who takes deer shots the way that you do! The shots YOU take are always amazing! This shot was a wonderful gem! :o)

What an adorable scene that was captured in this photo. The sweet deer sleeping is so adorable and the lovely colours in the leaves create a wonderful background. Well done

This is such a beautiful and peaceful image, Bullseye all content and comfortable, fast asleep, he must have sensed that he was safe in your presence.
Very well captured with nice focus, this image is clear and the lighting is so well managed.
I like the way it falls upon him as he sleeps.
Well composed with a perfect placement of this special buck within the frame and allowing a good sense of this location.
Well presented!

What a beautiful shot! I can't imagine being able to literally shoot one of these if I saw one so beautiful.
You have captured a perfect, centered image of this handsome fella. Must be a great telephoto lens!
He seems so comfortable in your presence. Was he aware of you?
Your added touches with filters were a great choice!
Good luck in the contest!

Thanks so very much for your wonderful review and comments, and for awarding this an additional star! Yes, Bullseye knew I was there; I was actually about 10 feet away from him and took several photos before he decided to take a nap; I was blessed with being able to photograph him for almost 4 years before he was shot and killed.

Good one for the contest and could also used it for the wildlife contest, looks kind of peacefull in this and taking it among the trees adds a sense of a real wildlife shot, could you got close enough to take this without disturbing the buck, good one..Brian

Thank you very much; bullseye was always aware of my presence when i was photographing him, I often photographed him from 8 to 10 feet away, and most of the time he pretty much ignored me, in order to get him to look in my direction for a photo i would have to move my foot around in the leaves.

Oh LeeAnn, he must have had complete trust in you to fall so deeply asleep while you were there, you must have a real way with animals! A true deer whisperer!
As always, you've entered such a beautiful photo. I don't think I need to go into detail on focus etc. you wouldn't have uploaded it if it was anything but perfect!
One of your biggest fans, Charlotte.

Thank you so much, charlotte for such a wonderful review and comments and especially for the extra star! Bullseye and I had a bond, I never saw fear in his eyes or had him run from me, he accepted my presence as if I was just another creature he would encounter in the woods. I was blessed with him for almost 4 years, and I miss him very much.

I?ll bet you do, hunting makes me so angry, it?s such a waste of a beautiful life. But when you?re as close to a creature, as you were with Bullseye, it?s devastating! I just can?t understand what pleasure they get out of it!

Great looking shot!. Fine example of wild life photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the napping buck very well. Good luck!
